STENTON
A house of learning, past and present.
Black Friday. Cyber Monday.
GOAL: $10,000
What is Giving Tuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy.
When does it take place?
This year, Giving Tuesday takes place on November 28, 2023. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
Why should I participate?
We need your help! The Friends of Stenton support the museum through annual giving. These donations help make our projects possible, including preservation work, community programming, and our Award-winning education program, History Hunters, which serves over 3,500 students annually. On #GivingTuesday, we ask YOU to become a Friend of Stenton and support our important work of education, preservation, and community service.
PLUS! When you donate on #GivingTuesday, your donation will be DOUBLED by a match from generous donors, who have agreed to match all donations up to $10,000!
How can I help?
Make a donation to Stenton on Tuesday, November 28th. Then, help spread the word by sharing Stenton’s message on social media, sending it in an email, or simply telling your friends and family. Thank you for your invaluable support!
