Black Friday. Cyber Monday.
What is Giving Tuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy.
When does it take place?
Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. This year, Giving Tuesday takes place on December 3, 2019.
Why should I participate?
Stenton received a donation-match challenge, and we need your help to raise the matching funds! The Friends of Stenton support the museum through annual giving. These donations help make our projects possible, including preservation work, community programming, and our Award-winning education program, History Hunters, which serves over 3,500 students annually. When you make your Friends of Stenton donation on December 3rd, your donation will go twice as far!
How can I help?
Make a Donation to Stenton on Tuesday, December 3rd. Your donation will be doubled by a matching donation! Then, help spread the word by sharing Stenton’s message on social media, sending it in an email, or simply telling your friends and family. Thank you for your invaluable support!
